About Me
I am an experienced instructional designer and multimedia developer with expertise in web-based training, web 2.0 technologies, and video production. I have developed training for organizations small and large, from startups to Lawrence Livermore National Labs and Oakland Unified School District. Instructional design allows me to employ my passion for teaching, keen eye for design, and systematic approach to problem-solving to create powerful and effective learning experiences.
I am excited by web 2.0 technologies and the availability of powerful, free tools that foster learning, engagement, and creativity. I am an avid user of WordPress, Google Docs, Twitter, Facebook, and other social media, always with an eye on the teaching applications such tools provide. I rely on the rigor built into the ADDIE model to ensure that new technologies are indeed effective.
I possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. I am adept at working with diverse, multi-cultural audiences, and strive to ensure that all my projects are accessible. I am able to effectively interface with clients and SMEs and efficiently meet project deadlines.
